EAT: Tai Pan Alley's bottomless dinner

Inverness Street's Asian restaurant concept Tai Pan Alley brings together a group of independent chefs under one roof, each specialising in home-style Thai, Malaysian, Vietnamese, Indian, Japanese or Chinese Dim Sum dishes. They've rolled their successful 3-course bottomless brunches into dinnertimes too, where you and friends can each enjoy different food from across the continent, while quaffing unlimited cocktails including a Langkawi island iced tea into the night.

VISIT: The Heath at 150, including circus

It's well worth taking a stroll to South End Green if you are a fan of Hampstead Heath - and who isn't, right? There you'll find a free exhibition which reveals the history of protection of this special place, including the act which preserved it as green public space 150 years ago. The show also lines the route up to another mainstay of the Heath for decades, the arrival of a travelling circus. Zippo's big top is in action from Wed-Sun next week, in a socially distanced format.

 EXPLORE: Secret subterranean Camden

Tickets go

for a summer season of tours into the 'hidden' Kingsway tram tunnel. If you've ever pondered the slope and track leading into the darkness at Holborn, this is a very rare chance to take a wander inside the cavernous passages where trams full of besuited commuters rattled until it closed in 1952. It's part of the London Transport Museum's wider Hidden London

series, which also includes virtual tours of decommissioned parts of Euston and the beautiful-but-abandoned York Way station.

THIS WEEK'S ONE-CLICK POLL Is football coming home?!

LAST WEEK WE ASKED:

Camden New Journal has posted images of the proposed redevelopment of Murphy's Yard, the borough's last big brownfield site in Kentish Town. Does the prospect of this new neighbourhood excite you?

Just under half of voters were a little apprehensive about some aspects of the plans, but there's clearly local enthusiasm to see development of this land taking shape. As long as commitments to social housing and protected views don't get broken along the way, we certainly look forward to a new green walking route from Kentish Town to Gospel Oak.

Camdenist is collaborative and transparent by design. We invite all locals to participate, so we've built a form where you can send us ideas, propose features, and even contribute your own work.

 Well worth following...
