EAT: 7 local pub pop-ups you must try

As pubs continue to enjoy their well deserved post-Covid renaissance, there are some tempting food pop-ups currently in residence in the kitchens of some great little locals -

. Following on from the recent success of our debut

Secret Feasts

series, which saw hundreds of you explore the food at Camden's North Yard over the last month, this week we've been on the trail of the perfect pub pop-up. So whether you fancy fish tacos in Clerkenwell, a pukka pizza in Bloomsbury, or seek smashing crispy burgers in Kentish Town, all the locations are revealed in this week's special local rundown.

RELAX: Spring equinox & full moon festivities

The seasons are turning, so on Saturday morning Camden forest-tellers will be celebrating the

Spring Equinox

with a tree walk and

Meanwhile, in their cosy nook under

station,

The

Field's Beneath

vegan café honours the lunar cycle with a bi-monthly natural wine tasting (pictured above). Every full or new moon, you can try up to five wines around a theme, accompanied by stories about the makers plus some bread and dips. Tonight's theme is the German winery 'Staffelter Hof' - you'll get to try reds, whites, orange and sparkling varieties. Or join the 'Red Favourites' tasting (April 1st) showcasing some of the Field's crew's top rouge tipples. There are only 10 spaces each time, so move fast to secure your glass(es). And if you'd rather raise your vibration than your glass,

DANCE: Two new performances in Euston

Next Saturday, two Hip Hop theatre makers are bringing their distinct dance styles to The Place in an exploration of toxic masculinity, identity and stigmatisation. Through his signature Breakin' style, Jamaal O'Driscoll's 'Crabs in a Barrel' features three dancers from different movement specialisms against a score made of spoken word. Yami Löfvenberg's 'Happyendingfication' follows, her autobiographical solo piece on the impact of being an adult adoptee.

CELEBRATE: Holi festival, the colourful messtival

Add some colour to your weekend with the return of the Holi Festival Colour Party at the fountain area near Swiss Cottage Leisure Centre this Sunday. The Hindu tradition marks the start of spring and is a brilliant way to celebrate the beginning of warmer days with drummers, dancers and a full Indian buffet, all included with your ticket. Fill your ears with Bollywood music, your belly with vegetable biryani and the air with colourful paint powder.

 CULTURE: Mind the WAP

After it's metaphorical legs sadly shut in Camden Market in 2019, and despite repeated censorship online due to the word 'vagina' being in its name, The Vagina Museum is finally back, and opening tomorrow with a bang. Although their new 'triple size' site is out east (in Bethnal Green), it's fabulous new campaign posters are well worth taking a proper look at. Best of all is that they are available for sale in their online shop as well as at the free museum, with all proceeds supporting their good work.

THIS WEEK'S ONE-CLICK POLL The Vagina Museum is the only one of its kind in the world, on a mission to spark better conversations about a body part 50% of us have, but only 9% could fully identify in this study last year. How do you feel discussing them?

LAST WEEK WE ASKED:

With so much of our media consumption these days image and video-led, how often do you tune into a bit of radio?

Even with the rise of on-demand podcasting and whatever-track-you-want-to-listen-to-right-now streaming services, sticking on the radio is still a major thing for the majority of people today. We're pleased to hear that.
