CCC AWARDS: Equality & Diversity Leaders

From tackling social media scare stories around vaccinations to delivering thousands of food parcels for Ramadan, Abul Choudhury and his team at Age UK Camden have been tested every day during the year of lockdowns. We hear all about it in today's Covid Champions award, including how they managed to reopen their King's Cross social hub safely, and the lady who they made certain was first in line for a jab so she could be sure to see in see her 100th birthday.

EXCLUSIVE: Win the watch money can't buy

As you are already a subscriber to the Weekly C-Mail, you're already half way towards being in our exclusive prize draw to

. The watch is only ever available in person from their store in Camden's Grade II listed Stables Market, which obviously has been closed since the heady days of Tier 4, meaning the only way anyone can get their hands on one right now is via this competition. You just need to head on over to

and it could be yours.

STORY: How my Shop Local posters went viral

You may have spotted the colourful Shop Local posters being displayed in windows throughout the area of late. Available as a free download, or as a lovely risograph print sold in support Hospitality Action, they're by Camden-based digital designer April K, who has been telling us how the project suddenly took off after a simple Instagram post was shared over 3,000 times.

 ONLINE: Countryfile comes to NW5

Did you catch Kentish Town City Farm hogging the limelight (sorry) on BBC Countryfile at the weekend? Watch the show again here via iPlayer, which is presented from the farm and focuses on winter rescues. Despite being closed to the public for now, it reveals all that goes on to keep the animals fed, watered and exercised. The Farm also picked up over £2.5k in much-needed donations during and after the programme aired. 🐷

THIS WEEK'S ONE-CLICK POLL Camden currently has London's lowest rate of Covid infection - even less than we had under Tier 1 back in October. How do you think this has happened?

LAST WEEK WE ASKED:

What do you think about the new bike lanes and low traffic zones that have appeared during the lockdowns in the borough?

It's an overwhelming thumbs-up for prioritising two wheels over four on Camden's roads as a key legacy of lockdown. Did you know the Council runs a free

? Or that they're offering 2-years of free car club membership to the first 100 people who 'scrap' their parking permit? The era of car ownership feels like it may swiftly be consigned to the history books.
