EXPLORE: Philieas Fogg leads local treasure hunt

Looking for something thoroughly unexpected to do later on today? Kids and adults alike should be totally captivated by the interactive Around the World adventure on offer at St Pancras International, courtesy of creative events specialists Sharky & George. Tickets are totally free, although you'll need to grab your slot, (which run from 10.30 - 3.30 today and also next Friday, 27th, too). You'll be welcomed on arrival by Philieas Fogg, who will set a series of challenges including hunting for clues and undertake exciting tasks throughout the Grade I listed Station. The adventure lasts up to 1.5 hours and uses an app that reveals the 150-year heritage and culture of the terminus and even incorporates music via the iconic concourse pianos.

VISIT: Take a Royal Opera House tour

Covent Garden's world famous home of ballet and music, the Royal Opera House, has restarted its popular guided tours. Booking is open for the season, which begins early next month and includes a new Pride of the RoH tour, celebrating the LGBTQ+ people and themes that have helped shape the venue's artistic legacy over generations. Other tours explore the historic auditorium and the legends that have graced the hallowed stage. You can even book extra special private ones, too.

HEALTH: Local experts on wellness after lockdown

After so much time at home, it's not surprising if you're feeling a little way off your physical best. So we've spoken to experts including a yoga teacher, barre expert and a personal trainer, all residents at Kentish Town Rd's intimate fitness space The Form Room for their advice on continuing our emergence from lockdown fitter and healthier. We also speak to award-winning local osteopath Guy Gold on his approach to a lifetime of wellness.

WEAR: Tees hand-crafted in Kentish Town

Professional ballet dancer Sophia Bebyck saw her career grind to a halt during the lockdowns. With so much time suddenly on her hands, she turned to customising her wardrobe, and Spliced By Soph was born from her NW5 kitchen table. Its a collection of two-tone tees fashioned by stitching parts of different garments together to make something new. They are all gender neutral and feature a range of witty slogans, plus luxe face masks and a lockdown line donates 20% to the NHS.

THIS WEEK'S ONE-CLICK POLL The Great British High Street is changing fast, with Covid accelerating the big shift to online retail. So what do you think of the state of Camden’s various high streets these days?

LAST WEEK WE ASKED:

Crime statistics generally continue to register historic lows, but that's not always in line with how safe people actually feel. What's your current perception of crime in Camden?

The majority of people accept a degree of crime as part of urban life, although it's sad that 19% of respondents actually feel less safe today. Only 11% say we're lucky how safe it is, even though life in Camden just a few decades back would have been statistically far more crime-ridden. Stats aside, if people don't feel safe then there's still much room for improvement.
