 PUB: Discovering the hot new Camden Darts Club  

This week we went for a boozy midweek gossip and beers session at local pub

, in order to report back on their latest wheeze - the opening of the brand new Camden Darts Club in the large upstairs function room. So did it hit the bullseye or did we swiftly take flight? And most importantly, what was that famed in-house pizza really like?

 SHOW: Hear in 4D Sound at Stone Nest  

Stone Nest

is the glorious former Welsh chapel (and one-time Limelight club, too) on Charing Cross Rd and you're going to want to head there if you're interested in the next frontier of audio experiences. Amsterdam's acclaimed 4DSound start a month-long residency there tonight, bringing the world's most advanved spacial soundsystem to London for the first time. Live afternoon and evening shows include music from Kali Malone, Max Cooper, Oren Ambarchi, Grand River, Andrea Belfi and NikNak.

 EVENT: Spring flower festival at Hawley Wharf 

The next two weekends see

Camden Market Hawley Wharf

take full advantage of it's waterside location with a seasonal celebration of all things floral. You'll be pleased to hear that alongside the flower installations and dried flower stalls, you'll find a live Bavarian brass band, a beer festival and even gin cruises up and down the Regent's Canal.

 JOB: Help design the neighbourhood's new map  

Camden Town Unlimited are recruiting 10 locals to help imagine a new Camden Green Loop map, currently being worked on by Footways, who promote a network of walking routes in the capital. It's a 2-hour walking workshop on Wednesday (26th) and you'll get paid £11.05 minimum wage for your time, plus credit when the map gest distributed free in cultural hotspots later this year.

 GOSSIP: More juicy bits from Camdenist

is the all-inclusive spot for anyone who fancies joining a big, free local community Eid cerebration on

. There's a BBQ and loads to keep the family occupied.⏩ Ambitious plans have just been announced to develop Camden Film Quarter in the Regis Rd industrial estate at Kentish Town. It will see the area become a world class hub of movie-making, (but even more exciting is the potential of opening up new walking routes to Gospel Oak, finally breaking up the annoying no-go 'island' in the middle of NW5).⏩ Record a voice note with your memories and emotions regarding the 75th anniversary of the arrival of the Windrush generation on these shores. Camden Council's culture department will then incorporate the audio into the upcoming celebrations and in the borough archives.

 

⏩ Head up to Parliament Hill by 9.30 this morning if you want to join the historic protest walk from the Heath to the Houses of Parliament ahead of Extinction Rebellion's The Big One weekend, or look out for the colourful/noisy walkers making their way on an interesting green route through the Royal Parks.
